New microphone cable from Reference Cables RMC-0-ZERO belonging to the 30 Anniversary series.
An evolution from its predecessor RMC 01 bringing a wide spectrum response giving full bodied sounds coupled with a special flavour on high mid frequencies as well as open and gentle very high frequencies!
It also features a triple shielding approach improving reliability and S/N ratio.
Here it’s a short demo featuring acoustic guitar recorded with a condenser microphone (Grove Tubes GT 55) and RMC-0-Zero cable.
The Swan is the first “official” episode of Steve Angarthal journey in classical music repertoire.
It features a very inspired guitar interpretation of the original theme written by Camille Saint-Saens blended with a special mixture of synthesizers, strings and rhythm guitars giving an enchanting atmosphere and carrying the listener away…
The original composition was enriched by the coreography called The Dying Swan by Mikhail Fokine created for the ballerina Anna Pavlova, who indirectly contributed to influence modern interpretations of Odette in Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake.
The ballerina influence has been the idea behind the cover made by Steve Angarthal and Gianni Corrado.
This single is tethered to the version of Franz Schubert’s “Ave Maria” released on you tube a few years ago which featured Steve on electric guitar and Andrea Bevilacqua on Piano.
Written by Camille Saint-Saens
Arranged and performed by Steve Angarthal
Recorded and mixed by Steve Angarthal @ Asgardh Music Studio

Steve Angarthal has just released the new single “The Swan”!
Available on all digital platforms, it is another journey in classical music repertoire.
It features a very inspired guitar interpretation of the original theme written by Camille Saint-Saens blended with a special mixture of synthesizers, strings and rhythm guitars giving an enchanting atmosphere and carrying the listener away…
Introducing Mi-Si Acoustic Trio system featuring LR Baggs piezo pickup: it was introduced to me by Fabio Molinelli when we were planning the details for my custom acoustic solid body guitar.
Electronics and woods play an important role in determining the way a guitar will sound and this case was a very good one! I love the way the Mi-Si interacts with the natural characteristics of this guitar!
The audio recording for this video was done with: Reference Cables RIC 01 A (unbalanced cable for acoustic instruments), RMC S01 microphone cable, Reference passive DI box, TC Electronic Konnekt 24D audio card, Presonus Studio One 4 Daw.
Guitars in this video have been very slightly equalized (they are actually close to flat..), have no compression and a touch of reverb.
Thanks to Music Gallery for its technical support with Mi-Si device.

After the release of “Uranus and Gaia”, guitar player and singer Steve Angarthal turns the wheel of his solo project Angarthal towards the Blues genre, with the release of the single “Hard Times Shuffle”.
Released on 22nd November 2019 by label Asgardh Music, the song is part of a few summer recording sessions with the new line up: still on board is bass player Angelo Perini, drums are now under young talented Jody Brioschi and Hammond parts are again in Larsen Premoli hands!
This tune is released while waiting for the upcoming new Heavy Rock chapter planned for spring 2020. It sets itself as a window on a musical genre belonging to many artists and which, in the case of Steve Angarthal, has also been brought live with the show “From Mississippi to Thames”; a musical journey through the evolution of the Blues from its early stages up to the 70’s British scene.
